T3 TENNIS VOLLEY BALL

T3 tennis VolleyballUsing the 10m court;
T3-Volley Tennis is played on the 10m court and as with T3-Short Tennis smashing
and over shoulder height volleying are not permitted in the T3-Volley game. Please note there is NO SEPARATE SERVICE AREA, the whole 1/3 of the court is the service area.
1. The centre player will start the service (toss a coin or spin your racket to see which team goes first.) When serving, ball must land in the correct third, within the SERVICE AREA.
2. Service is always delivered from centre third player (1) who serves to each opponent, starting with the player (1) standing directly opposite. Ball must land in their third.
3. Player (1) then serves to opponents (2) to his left and then (3) to his right, a total of 3 serves (and 3 points).
4. A single point is scored on each service ball there is no 1st and 2nd serve as in traditional tennis so – every ball counts!
5. The other two team players on the serving side can stand anywhere on their side during the serve!
6. Receiving team maintain the same starting positions throughout services.
7. Change sides after each side has completed their service game. Repeat steps (1 to 4)
8. Once server has completed their serve they return to their original starting position.
9. First to 15 wins the game with 2 clear points to win.
10. Best of 3 games to win a set.
11. Best of 3 sets to win the match. (If last set is a tie, 2 clear games to win).

T3 short tennisUsing the 15m court;
The T3 short tennis is played using the 15m court markings. The game follows the same rules as the full size game except: Smashing and over shoulder height volleying are not permitted in the T3 short game.

2. Service is always delivered from centre third player (1) who serves to each opponent, starting with the player (1) standing directly opposite. Ball must land in their third.
